Masterpiece Project
As part of the Masterpiece Project we were required to produce extensive research that is relevant to the final project that we will be creating.
This research should be delivered in the form of a physical research
portfolio, supported by an online digital portfolio.
This research could be about:
• a technical production technique (that you will use in producing the
product)
• a creative, artistic or planning technique (that you will use in
planning/conceptualising the product)
• the industry / market that your product fits into
• employability skills and/or other professional skills that are essential for
a career in producing the type of product you have chosen.
You should focus on critical evaluation and analysis and avoid
descriptive/narrative writing in your report.
Your research should include (in this order):
• a title page and table of contents
• an introduction
• a research aim (this should be specific, measurable and achievable)
• 4-5 research objectives (these should break down your aim into sub
tasks)
• a separate section with each objective as a title where you
demonstrate your own analysis of the research.
• appropriate recommendations and conclusions (have you met your
aims and objectives?)
• a bibliography
• appendices (as appropriate)
